The KinderKunstLabor or Children’s Art Lab at the MEWO Art Gallery is an exhibition space for all explorers, researchers, and inquisitive people. We present works of art from our collection of regional artists in changing exhibition themes. From the installation of the objects, which is tailored to the viewing height of our small exhibition visitors to texts formulated in an age-appropriate manner, the entire exhibition is geared to the needs of our young museum visitors. In addition to activating questions and concrete work assignments on the objects shown, several hands-on stations also offer the opportunity to become creative yourself. With the Children’s Art Lab, we enable children and young people not only to experience art from a distance, but also to understand it in the truest sense of the word, to relate to it, and ultimately to be creatively active themselves.
