You can get to know the cuisine and culture of Italy at our Italian market, when friends from our Italian twin town of Teramo arrive with wine, olive oil, sausage and cheese in their luggage. Our wine festival with its wine market takes place at the same time. Winegrowers from different regions present their wines in the historic ambience of the Weinmarkt (wine market) between the Shopkeeper’s Guild and the Liberty Fountain. Regional delicacies provide the right wine accompaniment to tickle your palate.
Are you into food trucks and street food? Then the Street Food Festival in the park is just the thing. A variety of culinary delights combines with a special supporting programme in the relaxed atmosphere of Stadtpark Neue Welt. The food truck offers are rounded off with delicious cocktails and craft beer. Street performers, fire artists, live acts and the Scat Contest will leave a lasting impression, and guests can also get to grips with the trendy sport of wakeboarding during a taster course.
New vegetables, fresh fish, Allgäu cheese, herbs and spices, Italian antipasti... no wish remains unfulfilled at our weekly market, which takes place every Tuesday and Saturday. Take a leisurely stroll around the most beautiful market scene in the Allgäu. Memmingen’s market square is not only richly stocked with a great variety and selection of products, but also framed with a fantastic backdrop of houses.
