Heute dienen Stiftungen auch der Verschönerung des Stadtbildes. Stifter und Stiftungen werden anhand der erhaltenen Häuser und Kirchen erklärt und die Finanzkraft, die bis in unsere Zeit ausstrahlt, beleuchtet. Our special tour “Memmingen for wheelchair users” is completely accessible and barrier free. Tailored to the needs of wheelchair users, this tour visits the most important sights. For blind and severely impaired people, there is our special guided tour which makes it possible to bring our city history to life by touching and feeling models.

Memmingen City Wall

Would you like to know more about our city wall? You will gain special knowledge about the unique fortifications in our guided tour "Magic of the Old Town - Linen and Leather - Proud Craftsmen". During this guided tour, you will not only learn a lot about the Memmingen city wall, but also climb the battlements at the Hohe Wacht - the fortified gun emplacement.
